Our clients decided to expand their already beautiful backyard with a custom guinite pool with an in-ground hot tub. Part of their hopes were that, living in an area where the weather changes almost daily, their young child can enjoy the pool whenever he wants. They began their search for a pool enclosure that would provide a cost effective covering over their existing patio in the retractable enclosure market place. Cost was secondary to their search. It was the quality of the product and length of warranty that these customers had as their primary purchasing requirements. We never said that we were the least expensive, but we are by far the most advanced and supportive retractable enclosure company in the industry. So, as you can see, we are now installing a Roll-A-Cover at their Fairfield County home.

With the roof sections pre-assembled in the plant, the panel is being readied for the eave and side walls to arrive.
After the eave and side walls arrive, the system is lifted and temporarily attached with our 3/4" 6061 grade aluminum gussets and aluminum bolts. There are several pre-punched holes pre-aligned with the pre-tapped gusset for ease of field assembly.
Once all the sections are brought to the backyard and connected as the first section was, it is time to torque the bolts down and install the exterior beauty caps that cover the rafters from any mechanical connectors.
Several 3/4" aluminum bolts with washers are used to attach each section to the structural gussets. With our patent-pending interlocking eave's purlins bolted down within the rafters prior to the gussets being installed, it allows the completion of each section's final assembly phase.
The local dealer's trained factory staff completes the next phase, which is to install Roll-A-Cover's unique interconnection high density alignment control wheel assembly.
Now it's time to align the first section against the house. With our patent-pending back to back gutter system, we were able to free flash against their kitchen window and house. It was a very difficult situation, but the customers wanted to have visual control from their kitchen window to the inside and outside of the pool area.
Here the staff is, as we call it, "jumping the sections." It's not that difficult, but the sections are heavy so very important safety measures are taken with the use of mechanical lifts and added staff. It doesn't take long and it starts the final phase of installation.
After the system is completely "jumped", we then proceed to the alignment phase. This is a critical step for our split system. If the 2/5 section modules do not align when rolled together, then this step will have to start all over. It takes time because not all sites are perfect and the enclosure isn't designed to roll over inconsistent concrete. Tweaking the systems components at the end is often our way of making the site adept to our enclosure.
With the system telescopically rolled together once the last section is assembled and aligned, simple concrete drill anchors are installed on the end section so that the alignment of this module becomes permanent to the site.
On the other end, the interconnection devices are being installed with the alignment control wheel assembly.
Now that this module is against the house and fully opened, we can now roll the other module towards this section and see if we are satisfied with the two sections' connection.
As you can see, we have completed the installation of another Roll-A-Cover enclosure. The customers are completely satisfied and so are the installers because the in-plant pre-assembly process worked once again. As we are all aware, nothing is perfect, but with quality control systems fully intact; our percentage of error is close to nil. Pre-assembled, knocked down, and shipped to you, our Roll-A-Cover enclosure is an industry leader.
