The courtyard, with a retractable glass roof, was added between the restaurant's horseshoe bar and its catering hall to provide a place for patrons to smoke without having to leave the facility. State law does not allow smoking in a restaurant or bar. In approving the change, Buckley said Wednesday, the board members agreed the courtyard improved the facility by providing a place for smokers, rather than forcing them to hang around outside its doorways. |
